Susan & Justin

As if 2020 couples didn’t have enough to deal with, the rain certainly made a constant appearance! Before 2020, I could count on one hand how many times we had to go with our inclement weather plan due to rain. However, all of our couples handled the rain like champs, especially Susan and Justin!

After watching the weather all week, it looked like we would be in the clear. We barely even talked rain plan since it was looking like such a low possibility! We were all so shocked to wake up the day of their wedding to see gray skies a constant drizzle. All of our weather apps said we would be fine, but the rain stayed and these two were determined not to let it ruin their day!

I absolutely loved Susan and Justin from the first time I met them. I could tell they were truly meant to be together and had such great energy between them! Susan shared right away that she wanted to combine her family’s Chinese heritage into their wedding day. They even included a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony which symbolizes the union of the two families. It was so fun to work with them to incorprate aspects of both cultures into their special day.

Emily is so personable, bubbly, and easy to work with! We hired her for event designing and day of coordination at Adaline Acres for our 10/10/2020. With COVID, we were going back and forth about whether to postpone or cancel and she helped us process and rehash multiple times. She helped us with figuring out details, timeline, and made sure we made it down the aisle! It was a very wet, rainy day but Emily and her assistant made things happen. They were flexible, direct, and formulated a plan B on a whim. I personally did not have a rainy day plan because we literally only planned for an outdoor wedding/reception because of COVID. However, she made it happen and everything was flawless and seamless. She got a 30-person wedding party down the aisle, got all the guests out of the building on time, and broke down our wedding into vehicles all in the same night.
